Five Caravan Gadgets that I either have, or would love to have…

Something I’ve noticed, caravan manufacturers have been a bit late to the party when it comes to gadgets. I don’t know anything that’s “Alexa Enabled” in the caravan., for example. People’s homes are full of gadgets, maybe manufacturers assume that people just want to “get away from it all”. Well, I’d have thought that too, but the more you get away the more you miss your home comforts, the more you miss your gadgets.

So, I’ve trawled the internet, stole over people’s ideas and generally had a good look around for my favourite caravan based gadgets..

Instant Pot

Instant Pot Duo 7-in-1 Electric Pressure Cooker, 6 Qt, 5.7 Litre, 1000 W, Brushed Stainless Steel/Black*
  • Please note that all text on this product is in English
  • No more rattles and hisses, no more adjusting the heat to regulate pressure because the Instant Pot Duo does it for you

Oh boy do we love this! We take it with us and use it in the awning. It’s great for really quick meals. Chicken soup in 30 mins, chop up some chicken, pour in some water, add a frozen stew pack.

DJI Osmo Pocket

I take this everywhere and drives Mandy around the bend. But I’m a vlogger, what does she expect :-). Seriously, I don’t take it everywhere, but a great little camera capable of 4k video as well as still photos. The 3 axis gimble keeps everything stable, it can track your face so you’re never out of shot.

NETGEAR Nighthawk 4g Router

This isn’t something I have, or have even used, but I think it’s something that is really popular with many caravanners.

You can connect up to 20 devices, ok this might be a bit of an overkill! You might be familiar with using your iphone as a hotspot, where other people can use your data. Well, this works in the same way. With this in use anyone in your caravan can access to internet via 4G.

Small, light very portable. Perfect for taking with you in your caravan. We have one very similar and it makes a great cup of coffee. I don’t just use it in the caravan, I keep it at home and take it with us when you go on our travels!

Ok, Ok, low tech and leaky, but…I wouldn’t be without mine! I have a pop up wine glass too. I know, posh init!
