What does Fenwicks Waste Pipe and Tank Cleaner do and what’s it used for?

During the caravan season, you’ll use your kitchen sink and, most possibly, your caravan shower. Water runs through the drainage pipes on your caravan into the waste tank. Over time you pour down dirty dishwater, detergent from the kitchen sink, and all kinds of stuff from the shower.

Sometimes water could sit in the pipes for weeks if not months when not in use, this can create mould and quite possibly a rather unpleasant smell.

This is where Fenwicks Waste Pipe and Tank Cleaner comes in. Not only can it be used to clear the drain pipes, but also the toilet cassette.

On the instructions you’re told to add 200ml of Fenwicks Waste Pipe and Tank Cleaner to 10 litres of warm water and “shake tank occasionally”, on a caravan this is simple, but with a motorhome; you’ll have to get creative in how you manage that – maybe drive around a bit!

By connecting the waste tank and pouring the solution down the sinks, you flush the pipes as well as freshening up the waste tank. For the price, you can’t go wrong. Fenwicks is certainly a brand you can trust when it comes to caravan accessories

Of course, there are other brands of Waste Pipe and Tank Cleaner, Thetford certainly do one too.
