Welcome To The Course
A personal note from Graham at CaravanVlogger
Hello, and welcome. I'm really glad you're here.
Whether you've just bought your first caravan, you're seriously thinking about it, or you've had one sitting on the drive for a while and haven't quite felt ready to use it — this course was made for you.
I've been caravanning since 2006. I've made the mistakes, asked the embarrassing questions, spent money on things I didn't need, and spent far too long worrying about things that turned out not to matter. I've also experienced the moment when it all clicks — when the hitching becomes routine, the setup feels natural, and you pull onto a pitch and just feel genuinely at home.
That's what this course is trying to give you. Not just information — confidence.
What this course is, and what it isn't
This isn't a technical manual. There are no complicated diagrams, no jargon for its own sake, and no attempt to turn you into a caravanning engineer.
It's a structured, calm walkthrough of everything a new caravanner actually needs to understand — from choosing the right car and caravan, through weights, towing, arriving on site, the systems that keep you comfortable, staying safe and legal, and finally getting ready for that first trip.
Every lesson is written in plain English, with the aim of making things clearer rather than more complicated. If something has been wrapped in unnecessary mystery by the caravanning community, this course tries to unwrap it.
How to use the course
Work through it in order if you're completely new — the chapters are sequenced deliberately, and later lessons build on earlier ones. If you're more experienced and want to dip into specific topics, each lesson stands on its own perfectly well.
There are 36 lessons across 7 chapters. Some are short. Some cover more ground. All of them are focused on what actually matters rather than what's merely interesting to know.
Take your time. There's no deadline. Come back to sections as your first trips happen and things start to feel real rather than theoretical. The lessons will mean more once you've experienced some of what they describe.
A word on confidence
Confidence in caravanning doesn't arrive all at once. It builds gradually, trip by trip, through repetition and familiarity. This course gives you the understanding — the doing is what turns that understanding into the quiet, easy competence that makes caravanning feel like a pleasure rather than a performance.
You don't need to know everything before you start. You just need enough to begin sensibly, and the willingness to learn as you go.
That's all any of us had when we started.
For ongoing help and support, you might like to visit us at talkwrench.com - (FYI there' will be a £10 discount code within the course) it’s a friendly, helpful bunch of caravanners and I’m in there everyday to answer questions and give support..
Right then — let's get into it. Chapter 1 is waiting, and there's a caravan out there with your name on it. 🚐
